Port-au-Prince, Nov. 21, 2015 --- At the initiative of UNFPA, Haiti’s office, in collaboration with UNDP and UNICEF in particular, the United Nations System hosted in Port-au-Prince, November 21, 2015, over a period of less than two months, its second training session on Search inside Yourself (SIY).

It brought together some thirty participants (UN agencies and partners agencies).

In this second part, the SIY trainer reviewed and deepened the concepts tested last September – conscious listening, conscious reflection, mindfulness meditation inter alia – and addressed several others, practical exercices in support, such as the components of the emotional intelligence, the flow, empathy, compassion, the steps of resilience and leadership.

The Representative of UNFPA, Marielle Sander, placed this training in the framework of a building effort of the teams of UNFPA and United Nations in Haiti.

Participants welcomed such an initiative which provided them with the tools to regulate their emotions, manage stressful environments, increase creativity, productivity and leadership.

Developped by Google, Search Inside Yourself is a methodology that bridges the gap between secular practices of the mind training and moder technology and neuroscience.
