PROJECT TITLE
Strengthening access to integrated, lifesaving SRH and GBV services and supplies for women of reproductive age in earthquake aected departments (Grand’Anse, Nippes and South)

 

The main objective of this USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) is to strengthen UNFPA’s immediate humanitarian response in Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake. The project focused on:
INTERVENTION I : Strengthening Gender-Base Violence (GBV)coordination at national and subnational level;
INTERVENTION II : Strengthening integrated sexual and reproductive Health (SRH) and GBV service provision
INTERVENTION III : Strengthening GBV case management

 

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • 4,895 attended childbirths
  • 2,404 GBV cases received medical assistance
  • 47,226 people reached with awareness raising sessions on SRH, GBV and PSEA within target community
  • 53 integrated mobile clinics
  • 70 health providers trained on Clinical management of rape and psychosocial support
  • 30 GBV Working Group Members trained on GBV case management, PSEA, safe space management.
  • 36 working group members received training on ethical data collection and analysis
  • 60 GBV working group members received training on IASC guidelines for GBV coordination in emergencies at the central and departmental levels
  • Revitalization of the GBV and SRH working groups in South, Nippes and Grand’Anse;
  • Development of GBV/PSEA Inter-Organization SOPs and Referral Pathways;
