A joint support from UNFPA and PAHO/WHO to Haitian health authorities to strengthen the care of pregnant women in Haiti.

Since February 29, gang violence in Port-au-Prince has been such that there are only 4 maternity hospitals operating in the city to meet the needs of 3,000 women who give birth per month.

The maternity ward of the Eliazar Germain Hospital Center is one of them.
