Port-au-Prince, July 18, 2023 --- UNFPA, the United Nations agency responsible for reproductive health, in support of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) and the Directorate of Family Health (DSF), organized training on the "Last Mile" concept in the Far North involving the West, from July 4 to 6, 2023.

The "Last Mile" training was developed to implement a strategy to help increase family planning in Haiti by reducing unmet needs. The "Last Mile" aims to allow inputs to reach the most remote places in the country.

This training workshop was carried out in the form of brainstorming, PowerPoint presentations and group work.

The audience was made up of departmental directors, reproductive health managers, departmental pharmacists and CDAI pharmacists.

The "Last Mile" wants family planning supplies to reach the "Last Mile" to find clients where they are when the need arises.

Dr Jean Denis who was part of the audience told us that all providers in the supply chain should take such training because it could help them better understand the "Last Mile". According to the recipient of this training, he plans to work together with heads of other departments, because it affects the lives of all.
